Science – Earth and Space
In Science, we will be learning all about Earth and space. We will explore the planets in our solar system, the movement of the Earth and Moon, and how these movements
explain day and night. We will also investigate the seasons and develop our understanding of the Earth’s place in space.
History – Invaders and Settlers
In History, we will be exploring invaders and settlers. We will learn about the different groups who invaded and settled in Britain and investigate how their arrival changed
Britain. We will use historical sources to find out what life was like during this fascinating period of history.
Geography – What Is It Like in the Alps?
Our Geography topic will take us to the Alps! We will investigate the physical and human features of this spectacular mountain range. We will learn about the climate,
landscape, wildlife and settlements, as well as how people live and work in the Alps.
Design & Technology – Structures: Building Bridges
In Design & Technology, we will be learning about structures and discovering what makes a bridge strong and stable. We will investigate different types of bridges, explore
materials and test our designs before creating and evaluating our own bridge structures.
Art – Drawing Skills for Depth and Emotion
In Art, we will develop our drawing skills, focusing on how artists can create a sense of depth and communicate emotion. We will experiment with line, tone, shading and
perspective, developing techniques that will help bring our drawings to life.
Computing – Search Engines and Data Handling
In Computing, we will learn how search engines work and how to search for information effectively and safely. We will also explore data handling, learning how to collect,
organise, interpret and present information in different ways.
RE – Hinduism
In RE, we will be learning about Hinduism. We will explore Hindu beliefs, traditions, places of worship and celebrations and make comparisons with other religions and
worldviews.
