Climbs to White Nancy completed:

🌟2025🌟

In January 2025 The Dean Valley Team set ourselves a HUGE challenge to help raise money for our amazing Year 4 teacher Mr Hasler and his family following his diagnosis of MND.

We planned to work as a team to climb White Nancy 2025 times in 2025...and in November 2025 we completed the challenge with over month to spare!!!!

The challenge started as a way to raise awareness for an amazing cause and kickstart what would turn out to be a huge community fundraising effort. However it became much more than that...

For some it began a new habit of getting out and enjoying the climb to White Nancy each morning before work, for others it became a personal challenge to hit a target they planned for themselves. Some of the team brought family, friends, children, pets or a mixture of all along for walks while others enjoyed the chance to walk alone and appreciate the peace. As Mr Hasler has continued to inspire us all with his determination, motivation and desire to make the most of every day we have all realised what a privilege it is to be able to get out and enjoy being in nature.

As the challenge progressed it made us all reflect on how truly special our Dean Valley and Bollington community is - we came together to support someone dear to us and smashed it!

Throughout the challenge White Nancy has witnessed laughter, dancing, ironing being done, fancy dress, treasure hunting, film crews, where's Wally, rainbows, quiet reflections, running, cheering, handstands, sunrises and sunsets, singing of 90s classics, rain, wind, snow and many selfies...all of which you can see in our photo memories below. What a year it has been!
