This term, we have an exciting and inspiring Spring ahead of us!
In Literacy, we will dive into Survivor: Titanic by Stephen Davies, using the story to inspire diary entries, narratives and explanation writing. We will also explore Journey to North America, linking our reading and writing to Geography as we learn about the human and physical features of the region. As part of this work, the children will design and create their own vibrant travel brochure for New York City.
In History, we will be asking, Why is the Titanic so significant in history?, making thoughtful links to our Geography learning as we map the Titanic’s journey.
In Maths, we will build confidence in multiplication and division, fractions, decimals and percentages, as well as perimeter, area and statistics. In Science, we will investigate the properties of materials through hands-on practical enquiry.
Our RE learning will explore what makes a leader worth following, while in PSHCE we continue our important No Outsiders work. In Computing, we will develop our CAD skills, which will support our DT project designing and making waistcoats.
It’s a busy, creative and engaging term ahead, and we are really looking forward to all the learning to come!
