Which way to Jorvik?

Lesson: Geography

Class: Year 3 Year: 2013 - 2014

The Vikings came to Britain from Scandinavia - Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

We found the countries they came from and went to and labelled them on our map. Can you see our wonderful Longships approaching Britain?

The term 'Viking' comes from an old Norse word meaning 'pirate'!

The Normans in Normandy also descended from Norsemen (the Men from the North) and William the Conqueror was the Grandson of a Viking who settled in Normandy.
