Safeguarding, Mental Health and Well-Being
Here at Dean Valley Safeguarding, Mental Health and Well-being plays a massive part for all of our children, parents and staff.
Embedded through our whole school ethos, all areas of the curriculum and through every child and every adult, mental health, growth mindset and mindfulness is the natural culture at Dean Valley.

We are running a series of live webinars for parents, carers and educators. They are all presented by our mental health trainers, speakers and guest speakers who come from a wide range of professions, including education, psychology, social work, youth work, public health, psychotherapy and nursing. Topics include 'The Teen Brain', 'Sleep' and 'Perfectionism'.
The webinars explore strategies for maintaining positive mental health, paying attention to our own wellbeing and supporting those around us.
Please note, each webinar will be delivered twice across the month and be approximately 90 minutes in length.
Children's Mental Health Week 2022 is here! This year's theme is 'Growing Together', so from 7-13 February, we're encouraging children and adults to think about how they've grown, what helps them grow and how we can all support others around us to grow further. So, we've put together all of our guidance for supporting children's mental health and wellbeing for parents, teachers and anyone who looks after a child.
